Within this book are inscribed the original mookey writings, divulged by the mysterious Mark Bartlett during Information Technology classes back in the mists of 90s England, long before mobile phones had become prevalent and when the internet was still in its infancy.
The musings of Mark, dictating an alternative origin of the Universe and the first beings that once lived upon the Earth, were notated by the author, dubiously at first, yet all the while slowly changing his mindset and unknowingly placing him upon a path which veered vastly away from the persistent preset ideals and routines which society no doubt would have had in store for him otherwise.
This resulting memoir of fading days and lost friendships; of a search for a place in the world and for some kind of point to all this existence, is placed alongside the actual mookey tales themselves as Mark told them, combining to form an intertwining, interlocking narrative of comic fantasy and true-life tale, unlike anything you may have read before.
"A little Monty Python, a heaping spoonful of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, a dash of...the Neverending Story(?), and entirely British in the best possible way."
Guy Nettleton - Author of 'The Last Eye of Time'
"Two arcs written side by side is an ingenious concept, Phil's recollection of his life at the time of transcribing Marks "The Book Of Mooky" which with a bit of padding out would make a fine novel in it's own right."
George Tuffey - Book reviewer.
