Is a self-proclaimed conduit, holding no claim over the fantasy stories within the Book of Mook, which were passed on to him by Mark Bartlett, a college friend who himself denied they had come from his own mind, but were being transmitted to him from places unknown.
A lover of words and of books, Philip has been working in libraries for most of his adult life. But despite his mild-mannered day job, he has always harbored secret desires for travel and adventure. Slowly and steadily, he honed his craft, fostering an alter ego of screenwriter for the day when he would heed the call and leave his shores in search of new destinies.
Since then, Philip has had several of his scripts made into big screen feature films in Vietnam, where he sometimes resides, far away from his hometown of Portsmouth in the UK.
This is his debut novel which has been gestating in his mind since the mid-90's, when he first heard Mark Bartlett utter that fateful word: 'mook'.
