BLOG NUMBER 12: 3rd November 2026
The year has seemingly been flowing rapidly upon turbulent white waters. Last I looked it was still September... now it is clear that I must write an update to this blog before yet another month passes.
My life has been busy, which could account for all this swiftness. Sadly, the mookey story has had to take a back seat as I try to continue carving out some kind of future career before my carcass collapses into a clattering, dusty pile of dry bones.
In an ideal world, I would have been able to support myself on the sale of The Book of Mook. Yet as the number of books sold has still not reached three figures, that scary word 'survival' once more reared its rear-like head into my vision. So, an unavoidable delay has encroached upon the second mookey book.
However, not all has been lost. I managed to finish up my time in the studio and now, The Audiobook of Mook, narrated by myself, has been submitted to ACX... the people behind many listening-book businesses. All being well, pre-orders should appear on Audible and Itunes within a couple of weeks and the audiobook should release in early December, just in time for Christmas. I can think of no better gift than kindly inducting someone into the mookey universe and changing their life positively in the process!
Hopefully those rushing rivers will return to calmness soon enough, and I shall duly return to my mookey writings once more.
